Benji The Hunted, a children’s film back in 1987. And I watched it for the first time yesterday. It’s about a dog named Benji who was lost in a jungle after a boating accident. A female cougar was gunned down by a hunter and died. Benji took care of the four cubs the territorial female cougar left. His master was searching for him, but every time the helicopter of his master appears, Benji hides because he doesn’t want to leave the cubs without a mother. So, Benji kept following another cougar to adopt the cubs. In the end, Benji convinced the mother cougar, and finally rescued by his master.
It’s a very nice movie. The way Benji did his best to give the cubs their basic needs amazed me. He protected all the cubs with all his might from the wolf who kept chasing them. And when Benji finally bid goodbye to the cubs made me cry. It’s such a feel-good movie. It reminds you that animals are like people too.
